Little confused about installation process.
Hi. The readme on the homepage says -
Download the WaEnhancer from the Actions section.
But I'm not sure what am I supposed to be doing here -
For other apps on GitHub, I typically go to releases section to get the installer. I see WaEnhancer also has releases section, so I went there. But there I see both versions of apk in each release are debug versions, not prod / non-debug. Anyway, I installed the WA debug version, and when I launch it, it throws this warning -
So I guess I wasn't supposed to install this?
Can someone please guide me on where to get the apk from?
In Android 16 now all binaries must be compiled to 16KB, however the lib I use has not yet updated its binary so this warning will continue to appear.
That was my secondary question. Thanks for educating me on that. My primary question though is related to the first part of that warning -
This warning is showing because this is a debuggable app which is currently being tested. If you are not the developer, please report this to the developer and ask for a non-debuggable app.
Are we supposed to be installing this app-whatsapp-debug.apk or is there a non-debug version somewhere?
It's named debug because this is still under development and technically not stable. You can download from the latest release here Should be app-whatsapp-debug.apk unless you're using business
