question: where are the logs?

I'm getting this message during a nix build:

error: Nix daemon disconnected unexpectedly (maybe it crashed?)

I'm trying to get the logs but I can't find them. I tried:

• journalctl -u nix-daemon.service
• cat /var/log/nix-daemon.log
