Should this maybe be saved as a concrete date in the database? Otherwise we would need to persist TTL deletion to survive restarts and such things…

good point we have the creation date so we can calculate with that and the TTL. That's probably better

After the merge of frontend and backend, this issue, that was kept open as information about the react-client repo, is not necessary anmore.

With the current technical implementation of HD2 this won't be possible.

I think this issue is not useful anymore as the plans have changed. We think [templates](https://github.com/hedgedoc/hedgedoc/issues/2876) and [book mode](https://github.com/hedgedoc/hedgedoc/issues/1001) are more useful features and accomplish a similar goal.

An internal extension api is implemented see #360, but we don't have any plans to make it publicly available. Therefore this issue will be closed.
