Very nice job summarizing all this here. Linked with your smallblog repository it's the perfect quickstater for me.

One suggestion, maybe you could illustrate a multi stage docker build on scratch, a bit like this. That could be a follow up article !

Thanks a lot for your input ! Using scratch might be tricky because of CA certificates which you have to copy from your host machine to your container. That's why I prefer using Alpine. The technique presented here might be a good workaround to use scratch directly. After all, that's just an extra step ! :)
