We're using Yarn (https://github.com/summernote/summernote/blob/develop/MAINTAIN.md), I've had no issues installing and building on Linux. I know lqez updated some config's recently, I'm hoping those fixed your issues.

I don't use Summernote in that way. If you know how to fix it, a PR would be welcome, tested and merged.
