NFC Contactless payment not working

On the stock rom I used to be able to use my phone for contactless payment. For this I had to configure the NFC to use either HCE or the other method (forgot the name can't find it online either).

However with this ROM I can't seem to find this configuration option at all. Tried it in a store with the app from my bank installed, but no luck.

The NFC reader on the payment terminal just went kinda nuts like it was detecting a signal, but not what it was looking for.

The terminal here has 4 dots to indicate progress, all dots filled = data transfer complete, but this terminal was just jumping between 1 - 3 dots, meanwhile not having any progress nor showing anything on-screen. When I used my card it worked perfectly fine, so it wasn't something wrong with the terminal either.
