is there any way to make links smaller? here's an example of a very long link:

I'm interested in contributing to this issue and understand that there's a refactoring taking place. I was told you'd still need a link shortener and I imagine priorities looking something like this: affordable, scaleable, low switching cost, and easy UI. Although many url shorteners are free, many don't offer advanced features like connecting to custom domains or analytics. I've researched a few providers and narrowed in on an affordable (but not free) option. How does this org decide on tool providers? Should this be on a sovereign ballot?
