Interesting screen display! Serial output was a static print waiting for user input. But the MATH was such that that last line was CLIPPED and then recalculated and redrawn repeatedly....

Confirmed this failed behavior still showing in RC9, Win 10. No right click 'context' option to select, and click or double click a word in SerMon Ouput and 'Ctrl+A' does...

This 'draw clip error redraw' was destined for #972 Moved there

Can confirm as seen here (no issue yet still reading open issues) IDE fails to start for hours - and the SPLASH persists until the IDE window is 'x' closed....

Splash seems to activate on the 'last clicked/Active' screen - as seen here on Win 11. About to open an issue that IDE 2 won't start here - but start...

Followed link - cool I see the demo code has print in callback - which is called from code in loop() - not interrupt. Might be worth noting this difference...
