Licensing + fork permission

On a previous PR, I was advised to maintain a fork for some additional functionality. However, under the repository’s current license (which is no license), I cannot legally do this.

I sent an email to Nate as a followup to my previous conversation with him, but received no response. Could I get some official wording on this? I would be looking for written permission before I maintain a fork.

Would be nice to have a open-source license for this app.

I’ve talked to members of the DN team directly, in particular Nate. He has told me that figuring this out is on their todo list but not a priority at the moment.
