Snap package for Trayscale
Hi @DeedleFake,
Thank you for your great work on Trayscale — I find it very useful. As an Ubuntu user, it would be especially helpful to have a Snap or deb package available.
I’ve gone ahead and set up a Snap package for Trayscale. My fork contains the build-related files, and the package is currently registered under my name in the Snap Store. I’d be happy to transfer ownership to you if that works best.
Right now, I still need to go through the Snap Store review process to get it published.
Here is the snap-store request info for publishing trayscale with access to socket exposed by tailscaled.
I’d also be glad to maintain the Snap package build, since I’m a Tailscale user and find Trayscale very helpful.
If you’re interested, I can open a PR once the review process is complete and the build/release pipeline is functional.
Sounds good. I don't have any particular way to maintain it as I don't use Snap on any of my machines, but I'll be happy to give it a look once you're ready with it. I don't think you need to transfer ownership to me as it's your package, not mine, though I'm not familiar with how the Snap store's rules in that regard work.
