Withering and Growth Interval

Open Nballe opened this issue 10 years ago • 7 comments

Hey, GREAT job on the mod.

I was wondering if there was any way to either disable withering or make the growth Intervals further apart? I could change the intervals and disable withering in the FS13 version(in the fmcGrowthControl.lua), but not in this one.

Thanks in advance and I love what you are doing here, it's one of the best mods in the game.

I assume that both the Plant Growth and Plant Withering options on the settings page are bypassed or overruled when SoilMod is installed?

Withering is part of life. :expressionless:

To make growth intervals further apart, you can edit the savegame's CareerSavegame.XML file, look for <fmcSoilMod> and increase the intervalIngameDays value:

 <modsSettings>
     <fmcSoilMod>
         <growth intervalIngameDays="1" startIngameHour="0" intervalDelayWeeds="0" />
         <growthControl lastMethod="0" gridPow="5" lastCell="0" lastDay="47" lastWeed="358" lastGrowth="0" lastWeather="0" updateDelayMs="59" />
     </fmcSoilMod>
 </modsSettings>

a good for instance is the new Coldborough Park Farm map. where you start the game with 18 fields all on growth stage 7 that will wither tomorrow. its a race to harvest all those fields on Day 1 with start up equipment. i guess plowing withered crops for fertilizer is the alternative.

Hey there,

thought this fit's to the topic so i may ask a question here:

So when i extend the growth interval, is it also possiblle to extend the effect of AA/BB/CC herbicids to make it match again?

Thanks, Stefan.

@Laui51 - No, not if you want the weed germination prevention to still be in 'days', and you have increased the intervalIngameDays="..." value so the growth-cycle happens less often.

I can see that the HUD information of '+3 day(s)' then is wrong in such case, as it should be showing as '+3 growth-cycle(s)' instead.

The weed germination prevention follows the growth-cycle.

Thanks for clarifying!
