Question : Grass

Open sootysax opened this issue 10 years ago • 6 comments

Sorry for all the quesitons:

Is grass growth effected by NPK, pH and Moisture levels?

No, the growth is not affected. But the growth of crops - which grass also is - will consume N+PK, pH and moisture at different stages.

Since grass can never wither, it will consume N continuously.

Though if growth is not affected, does it matter if there is no NPK or moisture in the soil? Aside from realism..

Only when harvesting/cutting/moving. The less remaining NPK/moisture there is in the soil, then the yield is lower.

That probably won't be as apparent with grass, as with the other crops.

In fact it is. Growing grass will consume all values (ex. growth-stage 3), and if left without care, cause yield to be severely impacted. I don't have exact number but I know that it is significant. I would say that in worst case is about 20% of optimal values.

I'm wondering what growth stages does grass go through? Does it step through the full 7 growing stages and then restart at growth stage 1 even after being mowed? is it a cycle of growth stages 1 and 2?

Grass has 4 grow stages: 1 - sown 2 - frist visible growth stage 3 - second visible stage 4 - fully grown

If you cut gras you to 2, like already grown after first night after sowing.
