The Freedom greeting quest shows the same point no matter where you come from.

When you enter Dark Valley by Vasyan's quest, the Freedom post commander asks you to stay still while he walks to you. However, if you open PDA at that point, the quest marker would always show the commander of the upper point no matter where you come from.

It's a known issue. From the "Bugs still in the game" section of the readme:

• Upon entering the Dark Valley to find Fang and receiving the task to speak to the outpost commander, the mission marker on the map will always point to the north-western entrance of the Dark Valley, even if the player entered through the south-west and should therefore speak to the south-western commander.
