Can you post mediainfo output for one or more of those files? https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo

(you can probably install it via package manager as well)

Is this what you're looking for? image

hmm I expected it to give a bit more info about the file. It shows it's a windows media file, and that's all :( Perhaps you could also try ffprobe / ffplay and see if they give codec details?

Typically something like this should be printed:

Format : WMA
Format version : Version 2
Codec ID : 161
Codec ID/Info : Windows Media Audio
Description of the codec : Windows Media Audio V8 - 192 kbps, 44 kHz, stereo
Duration : 2 min 42 s
Bit rate : 193 kb/s
Channel(s) : 2 channels
Sampling rate : 44.1 kHz
Bit depth : 16 bits

Hello. I'm so sorry for the late reply. Here's the output I get using ffprobe.

Isn't those files corrupted?

They play just fine with the stock music player on Linux Mint.

splatert avatar Jul 14 '23 16:07 splatert

Strange is Media Info not showing any information about the file.

ok it's wmalossless codec, this is not supported in deadbeef as far as I know. Marking as enhancement
