Ability to make background transparent, even false transparency would be great

It would make for some awesome screenshots

We can make whole deadbeef transparent using compositors like compton. But it makes text and selectors and whole GUI transparent as well, which makes it on lower levels kinda washed out, on higher you lose all visibility

I know theres true and false transparency in various applications, this would really be fine with any of them. I am really not sure whats possible and whats not, but I would imagine it as having alpha slider/checkbox in background color selection.
