Describe the purpose
Compared to the other DeFi projects, we have only 94 members on the Telegram channel and only 45 followers on Twitter (other blockchain projects have over 1000 Russian-speaking followers). These numbers are scary considering that according to Triple-A's alanyse, Russia ranks first in the world in terms of cryptocurrency adoption (percentage of the population).
It is estimated that more than 17.3 million people, or 11.9% of the total Russian population, currently own cryptocurrencies (https://triple-a.io/crypto-ownership).
Russian is spoken by more than 260 million people worldwide and is a major lingua franca in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. In many of these regions, English proficiency remains low and can be considered a barrier to entry. This is a major barrier for many private investors.
To attract investors, I suggest the following steps:

Complete Translation of key documents/website content (https://defichain.com) into Russian.

Create a new Website with full Russian content and all important links and explanations, including an additional Telegram channel. The website should explain the whole DeFiChain ecosystem and how DEX and Lightwallet work. Also, all the companies that exist on DeFichain such as , CakeDefi, DFX and all the other companies that will follow in the coming months should be introduced and explained.

Create a new Youtube channel where I explain the whole ecosystem to potential users with short videos, similar to what "Kevin Söll" does. How to create and use a lightwallet, how to get into the ecosystem via CakeDefi or via DFX, how to create a vault, how to mine dstock and so on and so forth. I plan to publish two videos every week, one of them will be an explainer video and the other will inform users about news, similar to "DeFiChain Weekly".

Marketing (social media)
I will ensure that our Telegram group and Twitter channel attract significantly more users than they do now . In addition, other social media channels will be established. It is important to mention that this will be a real target audience. I will create articles with the assistance of a copywriter, which I will then post on specific crypto platforms.

How will the fund be spent?
For the next months I plan to use the 40 000 DFI as follows:
The amount of 20 000 DFI (20.000,- usd) will be used for the establishment of a masternode to cover the costs of marketing (for the next 12 months)
The other amount of 20 000 DFI will be used for my expenses (for the next 6 months)
How does this CFP benefit the DeFiChain community?
It will not be easy to attract new users to DeFiChain in a bear market, but most of the users we can attract now will most likely be invested in DefiChain for the long term. I am very active on Russian social media channels, the Russian crypto space community is very big. It will give us a great added value if we can get a foothold in Russia. Moreover, I would like to make DeFiChain known in Ukraine and Belarus as well, that is my VISION.
I am very motivated and would like to invest my time and energy in the development of DeFiChain and hope that the community recognizes this potential and what added value we can gain from it.
Next year I would like to attend crypto conferences in Russia to make more contacts to promote our project, with the goal of attracting new developers and companies.

I am a family father 37 years old, married and born in Ukraine. With our family we emigrated to Germany in 1995, however, for two years I left Germany and now live in Cyprus, where I founded a Engineering Company. I am invested in DeFiChain since 2021. In Germany I studied technical business management and in 2015 I started my own business. I have a good relationship with Russia, because my wife is from Russia and we regularly visit Russia.

There's no Reddit post, so I'm going to share my opinion here.
What is your track record?
- Creating just another website about DeFiChain is worthless if you don't have in-depth SEO knowledge. And crypto is a freaking hard space for SEO, even for advanced online marketers.
- Creating just another YouTube channel about DeFiChain is worthless if you can't get people to listen to you. Very few people have the skills to create and run a successful YouTube channel.
Money for YouTubers is always tricky in my opinion.
Imagine you're currently bringing 100k people in contact with the DeFiChain each month, and you haven't received a single DFI for it. Then a newcomer that currently brings 0 people to the DeFiChain gets funding. Then suddenly every YouTuber wants to get paid for each video about DeFiChain?

Thanks first of all for your message.
You are of course right about the points points. I also did not claim that it will be easy, especially now with the current situation.
What I suggest is that I invest my energy and time in this project and do everything possible to make DeFiChain known in Russia, to build a bridge between Europe and Russia.
I deal since December extensively with the Defichain and can claim that I know me, thanks to your videos, significantly more than the average. Thus I feel confident with handling and functioning and am ready to pass on this knowledge to new users (Russian community).
To create a website without SEO knowledge is certainly worthless but also the other way around. Good SEO knowledge but without explaining the whole ecosystem simply in local language is also worthless in my opinion. DefiChain is a bit more complicated and needs as you know a lot of education. I would like to do the educational work. An SEO optimized website, I will have a professional create. I would like to make explanatory videos in detail and be directly connected with the community.
If someone is of the opinion that he would like to do exactly the same, what I have in mind, then I have nothing against it and advocate that of course, this will make DeFiChain more successful.
I think the Russian market is very important. If we would establish ourselves there, it would be a great success for DeFiChain. People are very active in the crypto space, just very few have good English skills. Without explaining the whole ecosystem in Russian, we won't be able to gain a foothold there.
After all the information material is translated and a website is built, we can start actively advertising to bring people to the website where they can get information. For this purpose I would like to pay well-known influencers and place advertisements on their telegram channels. Also, articles should be written by copywriter in Russian and published on crypto info portals.
This is my vision and I am ready to take on this task.

Yes, that is normally the way to establish the business. Or you can require a loan. Many of the DeFiChain projects have invested or started already and can deliver something when requiring additional funding from the community.

The problem is time. If I had enough free time to take care of it, I would not have applied for funds. Especially in the startup phase, as far as translating and creating a website takes the most time.
I have a full time job, the funds should compensate for that if I leave my main job for a few months and concentrate fully on the CFP. That's why I proposed to the community that I put my full time into the project and by the end of the year I will make us known in the Russian speaking area. In order to do that, I have to put my current projects on hold, in connection with a financial compensation, without which it is unfortunately not possible. Besides, to realize the whole project on the legs will take much too long.
I hope the community understands that.

If you are really motivated, you would take the time and start working and show results before you request money. If you are only willing to work for the project, as long as you get payed, you are not motivated and this is a dead end project. I have made a proposal how I can create an added value for the whole defichain community. But this is linked to some preconditions, which I have already described. I declare myself ready to realize the CFP full time, for this I need certain financial means as compensation for putting my current projects on hold. The amount requested doesn't even cover 1/3 of what I'm missing out on. If you can do it better or faster, or know someone who can do this in his free time, I would be very happy. The Russian speaking market offers a lot of potential for Defichain, you should keep an eye on that.
I am against it. I work full time and managed to launch various projects like Dobby, Pond and Lottery all doing on the side. It is all about motivation and priorities.
