SQL Server updates supported?

Hi,

I tried to use WUMGR to manually choose and install updates for one of my 2016 servers. WUMGR handled installing WU's just fine, but it didn't for at least one SQL Server update. FYI, for one of the exe updates of the SQL Server, I noticed WUMGR just used the /z /q switches. However, its update just stalled and remained running for a long while until I killed it. But after allowing the native WU settings UI to install it, I noticed using Process Explorer that it used a LOT more switches and it worked via this normal method. FYI.

what other switches were used?

I didn't save the cmdline at the time that update was being installed. Is this kept in the registry or a WU log?
