Default Task Manager replacement
I don't think this is technically an issue, but it depends on what the answer is.
I can't find any info about if TaskExplorer can replace Window's Task Manager as the default app that launches upon ctrl+alt+del keyboad shortcut press. I've searched through this github page, open & closed issues, wilderssecurity.com forum, and perplexity search, but can't find this topic discussed anywhere.
Expected behavior: Using System Informer's (the Process Hacker 2 replacement) workflow as an example.... Open app > File > Options > General > click button to make TaskExplorer default Task Manager
TE is not set up to do this and I am not sure if that would be smart to do. the old windows 7 Task Manager used very little resources as does System Informer, Task Explorer being Qt Based uses much more resources meaning if you try to invoke it in a low memory situation it will fail. That said the new windows 11 Task Manager is also a resource hog so enabling TE instead would not be the worst thing LOL. So I could add it if people want it.
I'd love to have the feature. Personally, I have tons of RAM and not too worried about low memory situations. Maybe you could add a pop-up warning when the users selects the option to make it the default CTRL+ALT+DEL that informs the user of low memory situations.
TaskExplorer is very detailed and informative. I also would appreciate to have the possibility to replace the default Windows Task Manager. It could be an option that would be disabled by default. As a suggestion, maybe a checkbox in Options menu?
You can set it as an option to let users decide whether to enable it.
