winPE with dcrypt

hi

first of all, really appreciate you picking up this one after ntldr. imho this is the best encryption software available.

it is mentioned in the faq that soon there will be a container/portable version which does not require driver load. this sounds amazing, but in the meantime it would be great to have a bootable winpe with dc.

is there any howto make one? i can't really find any plausible info on embedding dcrypt drivers in a winpe build, also not clear if there are x64 unpacked driver which i can add to something like hiren bootcd or ones offered on https://sergeistrelec.ru/

would appreciate any pointers on this. i have an older win8 bootable usb with diskcrytor, but it lacks newer version of maintenance sw, etc. every time i have to decrypt disks, do smth (backup, etc) and then re-encrypt them. very time consuming.

Sorry had a lot of stress the last month or two and let all my unpayed projects slip a bit but here I am!

I don't have a guide on hand for integrating the drivers in win pe But why would you want to sue win PE? I use a full windows live instalation form a USB harddrive its a full windows there you just install DC as always and can use it to mount volumes on your host PC. You can create such instalations using the rufus tool (https://rufus.ie/de/)

About the container version there was no progress on that so far.

Thanks a lot for all your work. I am wondering, are you still planning on maintaining DiskCryptor at all or is it "over" for now?

Well for now it still works fine for me so no need to change anything, if there would be a breaking change in windows i would look into fixing that asap.
