Know how many widgets in a single page.

I need this to figure out how many widgets are there in a single page, because I want to place the footer widget at the bottom of the page when there is no other widgets in that page other than the footer.

Put your widgets into a list and end of the list put your footer widget with a size of a single page so it will jump to the next page.

I think, I need to clarify my inquiry. I want to know how many widgets there are in a single page because I want the footer to be at the bottom when there is another widget other than the footer, but if in a page there is only a footer I want it to be aligned at top. I already achieved the first one, however, the second problem is the one that i am having problem that is why I needed to know how many widgets there are to know if the footer is the only widget and there and I will set the footer aligned top if so.
