I made a new account for this and it threw me an error working on the process and I got a notification from insta that someone else logged in through a samsung galaxy 7 phone on that same account .. immediately deleted the account... anyone got an idea what this was about? or was this the expected behavior?

It's not stolen, dumbasses. It is the device that Osintgram / instagram_private_api decided to use to operate within its Client. Your account is perfectly safe.
