@etagwerker I'm running into this same problem trying to upgrade the Covidence app to Rails 7.1. Would appreciate this fix going in.

@etagwerker https://github.com/DatabaseCleaner/database_cleaner-active_record/pull/118 also fixes the issue, but with passing tests. This PR could be closed in favour of #118
