Thanks for the PR. The issue with this is that it might break the extensions such as Buttons etc, which don't expect a jQuery object. It could also cause issues...
I've just realised this as well. The example of on the [main page](http://faisalman.github.io/simple-excel-js/) simply will not run as there is no XSLX writer. Perhaps this is something that is planned...
