Is a Windows port a possibility with DirectStorage?

Definitely a possibility, but should come from someone with expertise in that technology. I don't have either the expertise or the bandwidth unfortunately

Windows has an interesting new API that seems to be a copy (or at least similar) of io_uring ioringapi I don't think it has as general of capabilities as io_uring though.

Yes, and that is quite amazing, actually! That would be the preferred direction for us to go forward with for sure.
