Is there any settings within Android device can stop datadog monitoring?

Question

We are using Datadog as an observability tool within Android application. The code is enabled only for prod versions. I can see all the RUM events and sessions flowing from all the devices for Prod versions.

But the only below model one of the tester device not seeing the sessions. Tried testing on debug and Prod variants both. However Datadog events are not showing up for this model. Is there any settings within the device can restrict this datadog monitor.

Hello @manju1375 , There can be several reasons why data doesn't reach our servers :

• If the device is offline, or using unreliable network, we simply can't send the data
• If the device is low on battery (less than 10%) or if the Power Save Mode is enabled on the device, we don't send any data to preserve the battery life
• We've heard that some networks have a ban on our intake urls, which prevent the data from being sent

If this situation persists, try contacting our support directly, and mention this ticket, so that we can try deeper analysis.

Hi @xgouchet @0xnm, our team found the root cause for this device (Galaxy S22 Ultra SM-S908E/DS, Samsung).

private DNS to filter ads option is enabled within the device. As long as this option is enabled, data is not being sent to Datadog servers. Once it is disabled we are able to see the session in datadog.

Posting the finding for better observability.

Also It will be great if you guys opens this issue. Try to find the solution or fix for the same.
