code in listing 2.4 in book doesn't match code in listing on gitHub

for one there appears to be a superfluous {} pair and on the console log lines there is a ); too much on each line. I wondered whether this is the result of the 'Books' viewer on Mac, but the error seems persistent on different display settings. ps: the listing on Github works just fine
