broken URL links in Table 3
Many of the URLs in Table 3 of v4.3 generate a 404.
In general, URL-style identifiers should not be expected to be actual websites that can be loaded. They are just unique strings in a DASH-IF owned namespace (dashif.org).
OK. That was my first assumption too. But if these are intended to be just namespaces/identifiers, then the PDF should not make them hyperlinks. But what led me to think they were intended to be hyperlinks was, e.g. row 3, "Defines name space for the Laurl element in W3C". It is not defined in either W3C EME [69] as referenced in 7.6.2.4 or in the IOP itself. The implication is that it is defined elsewhere in DASH-IF, perhaps at the hyperlink. So, where is ck:Laurl actually defined if not in DASH-IF?
I see. The intention of that row is just to reference the definition of Laurl
in 7.6.2.4, I believe. Perhaps we can clarify somehow to avoid this confusion. As you say, having them be clickable hyperlinks is indeed a bit confusing.
The hyperlinks are secondary. ck:Laurl is not in fact defined in 7.6.2.4, which clearly attempts (incorrectly) to cite EME for it. Let's see in today's call if CPS TF actually wants to define it and go from there...
(IOP 19/05/14) The URLs were considered to resolve to the IOP document where they are defined. This needs to be addressed in v5 editing. Make this a requirement for the editors.
