Well, seems like my plugin does not support non-ascii directory names. Thank You for reporting. Since I dont have much time to repair the plugin, you are welcome to fork...

Upstream history (clone/pull) is condensed into a single commit. is not always what is wanted..

I would say - try "git subhistory" for not squashing commits, till this functionality gets its way into subrepo :)
