Squad Types, Attachements, Limits, Qualifications, and Role Restrictions

Squad Types:

  • Infantry (Any infantry role, SL must be Sergeant)
  • Assault (Any infantry role, but no Sniper or Plt. MG, SL must be Sergeant)
  • Motorized (Same as Infantry, however they earn a transport truck if enough members)
  • Mechanized (Same as Motorized, but can also earn a HT and/or Tank, automatically has Crewman Attachment)
  • Logi (Riflemen/CE only, SL must be rifleman or combat engineer, earns a logi truck if more than 2 members, has limit of 3 slots)
  • Armored (Crewman only, SL must be crewman, limited to 6 slots, automatically has Crewman Attachment, which raises to 8 slots)

The earned vehicles for Motorized and Mechanized, only apply to Advance gamemode. Levels should be able to override the default limits on these squad types.

Squad Attachments: Each Squad can add an Attachment. Its added after the squad is created. It important to have it optional for the SL, as he may not want the attachment as it can complicate coordination.

  • Crewman Attachment: Adds 2 extra slots to the squad that can ONLY be filled by crewman. This way if the SL wants to have a "tank" attached to his squad he can AND without costing him important infantry roles.

Squad Limits: The idea here to is to be careful not to harm Push or current Advance/Clash maps. Default limits of squad types: 2 Assault 8 Infantry 0 Motorized 0 Mechanized 1 Logi (questionable) 8 Armored

Squad Qualifications: Not any player can create a Squad. They must qualify to create a squad, I will create a simple qualification map that instructs them how to be a good SL. However, they do not have to qualify to become a squad leader or assistant. This is strictly a client-sided enforcement on squad creation. Players who reset their configuration can easily edit their config to bypass it. We can also have qualifications for using mortars, AT, etc.

Squad Role Restrictions: If you create a Assault, Infantry, Motorized, Mechanized or become a SL in these squads in any way, you must be a Sergeant role. We will edit the Sergeant role to have 3 weapon options however. (Mp40, G43, K98) and (M1 Garand, Thompson, Grease/Carbine).
