App doesn't look right on a tablet screen

Open Darcc14 opened this issue 3 months ago • 3 comments

When using the app on a tablet, it uses the whole screen by stretching the UI as much as possible in order to fit the entire screen, which looks odd...

This is the first time I've ever posted any issues on github ever in my entire life and i have absolutely no idea of how to attach pictures to things so here's an imgur link that shows exactly what i mean

I think the best way to fix that would be either by making the extra options be extended by default on the left side of the screen while on a wide enough screen, or by adding the history on the left side of the screen, kinda like what the Google Calculator does (which i also added an example of in the imgur link)

It appears it's still trying to present in portrait mode. The version available in the Play Store should put the scientific functions on the left in landscape mode already. Where did you install from? Can you provide the version number?

Hi, sorry, didn't see your reply App info shows i'm on version 3.1.4 (52), I got the app here on Github I just checked the Play Store version, and it seems to behave the exact same way...

No worries. There are some scaling issues and such to be addressed. Below is a screenshot of what it should look like in landscape mode. My first guess is that it's not reading the resolution or orientation correctly. If you haven't already, maybe try to uninstall and reinstall the app. I seem to recall that there was a version number issue at one point where a newer release showed the same version despite changes.
