This is likely a duplicate of #63.

I will try to investigate this issue next weekend in order to triage if supporting this device is even possible with latest gateway firmware.

(AFAIK, the gateway recognizing a device and letting you use it with the Mi Home app is not enough to guarantee support in PyXiaomiGateway or Home Assistant. The gateway firmware needs to explicitly add support for broadcasting multicast messages to the local network about state and events for every particular device.)

@joaoasilva from the JSON trace in your message I can see that the gateway is already broadcasting messages with the model property, which is the first step towards support in this library and HA.

Oops, my bad. You obviously got the data from the Mi Home app itself, not from your local network traffic. Just double checked right now and realized that the gateway is still not broadcasting any data about the Vima Smart Lock as of firmware version 1.4.1_156.

@Nemesis24 Confirmed. Firmware 1.4.1_157.0143 still does not support this device over the LAN protocol. I have contacted Mi Home staff through all channels I've found. I hope some day they listen to our suggestions! :pray:

@fcastroruiz Zigbee2MQTT just works almost immediately with every single Zigbee device because it acts as a network coordinator. However, for using any Mijia/Aqara device through the Mijia Gateway in PyXiaomiGateway, the Mijia developers need to manually update the gateway firmware to broadcast the device events to the local network. Until they do not, there's nothing to do PyXiaomiGateway's side.
