placidity Bold and Italics Markdown does not work

Using the asterisk for bold and italics has no effect. Other markdown syntax (lists, quotes) appear different than expected but at least work. Perhaps I missed a configuration setting?

Thanks. I noticed that I can type in the html tags for and to get it to work but that's obviously not ideal.

I'm fairly certain it's because I'm not currently supporting <bold> and  tags. This'll be fixed shortly.
