Text layers disappear after sync — plugin hides them in the layer panel
Describe the bug After syncing my Figma file with Google Sheets using Google Sheets Sync, some of my text layers (correctly named like #Num_Facture, #Qté_1, etc.) are suddenly hidden in the layer panel (eye icon disabled). The layers were visible before sync and had proper default values. I’ve made no structural changes to the Figma file or to my Google Sheet (which has worked perfectly until now).
To Reproduce 1. Create a text layer in Figma named #Num_Facture 2. Map it to a column Num_Facture in Google Sheets (which contains a value like 0-110) 3. Sync the data using Google Sheets Sync 4. After sync, the layer disappears from the page view and is marked hidden in the layer list
(Optionally, I can share the Figma and Google Sheet links privately.)
Expected behavior Text layers should be updated with the correct value from Google Sheets, and remain visible in the design. They should not be hidden or removed unless explicitly set to do so.
Additional context • I’ve tried detaching instances, resetting text styles, and replacing values in Google Sheets (even adding dummy data like “Test”). • No fix so far — this behavior is new and inconsistent with previous syncs that worked just fine. • I am not using nested components or locked layers. • This affects both overrides and simple text layers.
Thanks in advance for your help!
