display leading zeroes in any alias list entry if applicable

sdrtrunk Version master-branch

Describe the bug alias lists for radio IDs remove leading zeroes, yet FROM/TO fields in NOW PLAYING --> EVENTS display them

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior: Create any alias list for an 8 digit radio ID with leading zeroes (like 00892001), and leading zeroes are dropped

Expected behavior I would expect the ability to match display output of EVENTS FROM/TO fields when decoding control channel, to an alias list to allow recording, aliasing or ignoring an ID or range of IDs.

Screenshots n/a.

Application Log n/a

Desktop (optional - complete the following information):

  • OS: Linux
  • CPU Cores: 16
  • RAM:64GB

Additional context I spent a couple of minutes trying to ignore a particularly chatty town tonight, and I crossed myself up until I figured out that leading zeroes were being displayed in 1 field and dropped in another. I just expected uniformity.

Rather than displaying pointless leading zeroes in the alias lists, I would suggest that those pointless leading zeroes instead be done away with in the Now Playing section. They serve absolutely no purpose, and would only turn the alias lists into a big mess if they were displayed there.

Either way works, as long as there's no specific coded requirement for them to exist. I just expected uniformity. GTR8000's suggestion sounds like the most sane decision.
