Rising and following not smooth anymore

I just tried the latest recommended build via dev.bukkit.org but it seems there is an storage issue. At least as soon as I reload the plugin or reload the server I see all message that have been ever send again floating constantly in the air.

I don't understand why there is a data.yml file as storage for sent messages or updated indicators. I installed the plugin started up the server and the file was like 40 kb after 2-3 minutes. Is there any reason to store them? Also is there an option to disable the storage?

However, I just compiled the v2.0.0 from source (master branch) and there seems the issue to be fixed that that past messages/holograms out of the data.yml gets redisplayed again. However now I have an issue that the followingPlayer and rise configuration is not really smoothly and sometimes stuck in each other:

Any idea how to fix this?
