Crashes with "RED screen" after loading saved game: Mario & Luigi - Bowser's Inside Story

Your console: Nintendo DSi LL

Launch Method: SD card

Version used: v25.6.1

Game tested/used/applicable:

Expected Behavior: Game works without RED screen

Actual Behavior: After loading previos first time game fall into "red screen of death"

Steps to reproduce

  1. Download nds game (mario and luigi) place it to SD card path: X:\roms\nds\M
    [REDACTED]
  2. Put save file to save directory where the game https://disk.yandex.ru/d/3E8OdyGox5yz_w
  3. Run game and select saved game
  4. game crashes with RED screen, but after reload it works fine.
  5. The same behavior will be reproduced after some period, (about 1 hour)

I'm facing the same issue, though reloading the game doesn't fix it for me, even temporarily. Also happens when trying to start a new game in file 2. To add up to the list of tested hardwares in https://github.com/DS-Homebrew/nds-bootstrap/issues/1619, mine is a regular DSi labeled C/TWL-EUR

~~@degacth @max-las This is a bit of a big ask, but would either of you be willing to remove the bottom cover from your console and get a photo of the chips located under the metal shield underneath the wireless card? My understanding of the issue is it is related to AP patches not properly being applied in memory (do correct me if I am wrong), and both of my bugged consoles share the same type of ram chip (an NEC 461) which could indicate the root cause. However, my sample size is only 3 consoles so it could also be a coincidence~~
