RetroArch-like playlists for TWiLight Menu++

Instead of searching the SD card for games during use or on boot, which would be slow and difficult to implement, a better solution would be to use 'Playlist' files that keep track of ROM locations, similar to how RetroArch does it. These files would need to be updated manually for each new ROM or location change, but it would still be less tedious than manually searching through a filesystem each time. TWiLight Menu++ already has a dedicated ROMs folder. The standard option checks that folder (or its subfolders) and allows the user to change the folder, similar to a current setting that chooses the startup location. Standard playlists are organized by console, but users can create their own playlists, similar to RetroArch. The playlist system would be an additional option that the player can toggle in the settings, while still maintaining the standard filesystem as the primary option.

I agree. I want "Favorite" and "Played games" since I started to use this, and "Pin to favorite/Unpin from favorite" option when selecting a game. I felt slow to seek many files too, currently using R4 themes for fast seeking.

so I suggest TwilightMenu++ will make "Favorite" and "Played games" folders in "Playlist" section.

I would also like to have "Favorite" games feature, when you have quite a few roms/homebrew in SD card is annoying to scroll through all roms and/or navigate through folders to get to the game you want to play.

Currently my workaround is to forward games to CFW using forwarders, however forwarders lack some compatibility, for example if I forward PKMN HG/SS they have many compatibility problems and the only way to play them is through Twilight Menu++, play last rom helps a bit but there are multiple games that I would like to favorite that are not fully compatible with forwarders.

I just wanted to mention a favorites feature would go a long way.

It could even be as simple as a config file or something.

I came here to request the same thing. Shouldn't be impossible to implement and very nice to have! Especially with larger rom sets it can be a pain to go through a large list before you get to your favorite game.
