I tried to recreate this and was not able to do so. @ennsk / @tnorkin - are you able to reproduce?

@lstaub4 - can you try Help > Check for Updates to ensure you are on the latest version of the tool? Help > About will also display the version of the tool.

@lstaub4 - You can upgrade to version 2.0.7 by downloading it from the releases page here: https://github.com/usgs/fort-pymdwizard/releases.

I am having this same issue of the Thesaurus crashing each time I type in a search word and click on the SEARCH button. I am using version 2.0.7. I also noticed that it wasn't able to connect to the USGS employee directory and auto populate my contact info. Both of these functions have worked for me in the past (probably with a previous version). Could it be related to Global Connect?

We are experiencing the same issues with AD and Search Controlled Vocabularies in v2.0.7 on Windows 10 Enterprise22H2.

@ColinTalbert and I can reproduce the error, thanks for reporting. The two look-up services used by the Metadata Wizard appear to be down, these are impacting the tool.

Controlled thesaurus - https://apps.usgs.gov/thesaurus/term.php Contact lookup - https://geo-nsdi.er.usgs.gov/contact-xml.php

We will follow up on this with relevant USGS contacts for a resolution.
