Latestposts URL not localised

The latestPosts template post.html does not work properly with localization. Although the title of the featured post is correct ( [post:localizedtitle]) the link is not and it points to its matching post on the default language. I believe [post:parenturl] fails to use the localized parent blog. Is there a fix or a better token to be used?

I have observed this behavior since 2015 at least, all versions since then. Now I am on DNN 9.2.2 and blog module 6.4.1. I am using the latestPosts[system]. Using the native localisation with default French and additional German. The latestPosts module is setup as "shared", but in detached mode it shows the same behaviour. As friendly URL I am using Sacha's openurlprovider 1.4.3 with its blog extension 1.0. Is there a better way of doing that? Even without the blog extension the ~home directory is the wrong alias (/fr instead of /de in my case). I can provide ftp and host access to the website if needed.
