Pasting text into DMPs changes the original formatting of the text

When users/admins write a text elsewhere and paste this back into DMP the formatting of the text changes.

Either - ensure that the text can be copied and pasted into DMPs without changing the formatting or (possibly this one is a temporary solution) add comment and say that paste without formatting. FYI might be useful to know that the admin who has reported this is using Firefox

Just checked again and indeed we seem to treat things as plain text which makes sense to me because the formatting options we offer are limited (no headings etc.). I'm not sure where we would highlight this behaviour to make this more obvious or if TinyMCE (or whatever else we pick) can do some magic on keeping formatting. @briri @mariapraetzellis opinions or shall we just close and shelve this?

We use a TinyMCE plugin called 'paste' that strips out all of the formatting information that usually gets embedded in the text a user copies from MS Word and other systems.

They are removing that feature from their free tier though in v6 (we just moved to v5), so we will need to investigate how it behaves.

Just noting here that the TinyCME plugin called 'paste' that we used to help retain formatting is no longer a part of the free version of TinyMCE and we have moved to that version as part of the upgrade to DMPRoadmap 4.1
