Drag/Drop wavetable creation in Vital(ium)

In this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqUIWTj3DAk from 01:00 the presenter shows creating a wavetable in Vital by dragging and dropping an audio file into the wavetable area.

I can't find a way to do this using either Ardour or Carla.

I've tried dragging from the file manager (nautilus) and nothing happens.

Ardour doesn't have a file browser so can't do it there.

Carla has a file browser but when I drag and drop a file it doesn't do anything.

Does it work in Vital? Or is this specific to Vitalium?

Looks like it doesn't work in vital vst or lv2 either. It only works in standalone vital
