Cardinal doesn't save changes

Open Marco-56 opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

I have Cardinal 23.10 installend on two computers, both wint Windows 11, and in both of them very often the "save" button doesn't works; it means that the changes made on a patch are lost. I experienced that issue both on standalone than on VST version of Cardinal. I tried to save with "save as" button (changing the name), but without success.

I cannot reproduce this issue (although I'm not on Windows). Please confirm with the latest release (24.12).

Thnx!

had the same issue on linux (both Manjaro and Lubuntu distros) ... i fixed it by installing XDG stuff manually on my systems (has to do with the plugin calling these to open system windows for file-saving). Hopefully this was fixed in new versions.

@Newk77 that is a completely different issue. xdg-desktop has to be installed on Linux. There is nothing to be "fixed" about this.

This topic is about saving issues on Windows, which has nothing to do with XDG.

i am sorry, then it was the fault of the packager not including flags for the dependencies for it i had the exact same issue the plugin not opening the save-window so i tried to help as it could been a similar problem on Windows.. just with different libraries
