Importing posts to Medium

I'm using WP 4.4.4 and use WPBA for image attachments to posts - when I import my posts from WP to Medium using the Medium plugin, the images don't import to Medium. According to Medium's support it's the WPBA plugin that's causing this...is there a way to remedy the problem?

If possible if you could provide why Medium thinks that's the case? Such as, is it a front end script interfering?

I only ask because the images on my flat file blog sometimes don't get loaded correctly using the Medium post functionality.

Also how are you outputting the images? Are you using the functions supplied by WPBA or a custom WP_Query?

Medium hasn't given me a specific reason, other than that users who don't use WPBA don't seem to have this problem. I think we're using WPBA functions for outputting images.
