This is an unpublished dataset of 'additional variables' for the Binford societies, maintained by Amber Johnson. She said she is happy for them to be incorporated into D-PLACE, but I haven't been in touch with her recently to discuss how we could best do that. Many of the additional variables match up with EA variables (and are not in the standard Binford dataset), so should be useful to anyone who wants to expand the # societies in an analysis beyond the 1291 EA societies.

This sounds like the perfect use case for the new data layout: A dataset which doesn't add societies, but new variables and data for another dataset's societies; but we need to distinguish the sources. Voila! Design validated :)
