Ability to name parts like Block readers

I would like this so I can tell which of my 12 block readers is which, and to which of them my variable cards point to instead of a part ID that doesn't even display in their GUI.

There already is a mechanic like this implemented for the omnidirectional connectors. If you right click one that has been placed, it tells you the group id above the hotbar. Not the most convenient method, but something like that would be helpful to at least differentiate part ids you see referenced on cards for more part types than just those connectors.
