It's inevitable that, some of the time, some users will find a forum more useful if their experience doesn't include the postings of certain other users. Being able to just quietly not see a particular user's posts can make all the difference.

The forum doesn't really track user identities, but there is a rules system in place currently used for subscriptions, which can be repurposed to allow users to create a ruleset for ignored posts. Maybe they could be collapsed by default to preserve the page structure, which is what I think Discourse does. PRs welcome.
