Adding translations
Hi
Do you want to help open source project?, or perhaps you're looking for easy pull request!.
If you know how to write this is your chance, lets get down to it.
First locate your language in this page.
Now remember the Language
(two letter) -
Region
(two capital letter) of your region.
In this folder you will see files with the names of the Language-Region
, if yours does not exist there you can continue but if it exist you cannot create pull request unless you find translating mistake in it.
Even if the language already exist but your region is not it is ok to open pull request, for example:
en-GB
it will be accepted because it is not en-US
which already exists.
So how do you do it:
-
In this folder copy the
en-US.json
(as it is our base to translate) change the name of the copy to yourLanguage-Region
. -
Change the right side of the text to your language, you should keep the
{}
in the same place inside the word as it is place holder. -
Open the pull request to the dev branch.
If you have any questions you can ask me us in the Discord server

If you don't mind, I'll update Russian translation
@estim Hey, please notice that there is already translated page for ru-RU translation.
There are more russian translations available, here is the full list of the possible russian translations:
If you can add anything that is not ru-RU translation that would be great.
@Tamir198 I see it lacks some of translations, like: "Update_WiFi_configuration", "WiFi_name_is_required", etc. About 10 lines comparing to EN_US
@estim That's cool, I haven't noticed that, nice observation.
If you don't mind, I'll update Russian translation
Sounds great, thanks @estim

Hello @guyluz11
I would like to contribute Amharic translation to the project. I like the IoT space but I haven't worked on it, the project looks really great.
This year for Hacktoberfest, I decided to make some low-code contributions such as translations and documentation because I learned that my native language Amharic is a very low-resource language; and I wanted to make some contributions regarding this if you will have me.
I was reading the instructions and I can't find Amharic language in the LingoHub regional designation list. I have used am-ET
format in the past. It refers to Amharic-am language in Ethiopia-et region. Please confirm if I can use it as such. Microsoft uses it like that.

Thanks. Appreciate the work!
