The text in the debug files from the previous posts above and a new test screenshot from this new, ongoing PR, on Vertex declaration refactoring, confirm the same title ID: [ES-010] [v1.02].

The result is looking very promising if that PR is merged. The level selection menu screen should be nicely rendered after having exhibited a black screen before. Unknown status for the rest of the game.

@gandalfthewhite19890404 Can you post a report of that version at #313? The one you posted isn't same as the one posted in the OP.

With commit df22c8b, I get the following message:

[0x5B4C] INFO : D3D8 Please report that TimeSplitters 2 shows the following message:
LOG_TEST_CASE: X_D3DPT_QUADLIST (StartVertex > 0)
In EmuPatch_D3DDevice_DrawVertices (D:\a\Cxbx-Reloaded\Cxbx-Reloaded\src\core\hle\D3D8\Direct3D9\Direct3D9.cpp line 7941)

The game plays at full speed, but in the intro cutscene, the sound lags behind by about a second all throughout. This does not persist into the main menu or levels with in-game sounds, such as shooting, voices, or HUD interactions. It's hard to tell if the music is lagged since it loops anyway.

When loading into the first level, the shadows are loading in at a weird depth during the pan-over: image
