Open southnode opened this issue 9 months ago • 2 comments

Bug Report

System Information

  • Operating System (Including distribution name and version number)
  • AMP version and build date (Always use the version number, 'latest' is not valid!) 2.4.6.4 - 20230912.1
  • Which AMP release stream you're using (Mainline, Nightly or FastTrack) Mainline

I confirm:

  • [x] that I have searched for an existing bug report for this issue.
  • [x] that I am using the latest available version of AMP.
  • [x] that my operating system is up-to-date.

Symptoms

  • What are you trying to do? Create a new instance, and then assign a user permission to start/stop etc
  • What are you expecting to happen? Have the ability to assign the user permissions
  • What is actually happening? ('Nothing' is not an acceptable answer!) The instances do not show up under "All instances" when looking under the target

Reproduction

Create a new instance on a target via controller Pick any user Attempt to assign instance permissions to it Notice you can't assign anything to the instances (note that you can't see it at all) Restart controller Notice you can now see the instance in the All Instances list...

I am also experiencing the same issue, restarting the controller does work, but this brief interruption has led to some complaints from my end users.

Please feel free to contact me if you need further logs or wish to have me test a dev build.

This issue has been happening for more than a year. As a workaround we've just been using the API

The instance information should be pulled up every time you go on that page, or when an instance is created, or at least a refresh button should be available
