Feature Request

Enable activation over IPv6

Feature Information:

Activation is currently unavailable over IPv6, Adding an AAAA record for auth.cubecoders.com works correctly for Linux systems but causes activation to time out on windows servers. Having activation support over v6 would be a nice QoL improvement

The bug preventing IPv6 activation on Windows was fixed, Mike was waiting for the new version to be widely distributed enough that adding an AAAA record wouldn't cause issues for people updating.

Any update on adding this record? This problem has been fixed in September of 2020 and all versions affected by this bug have been below the minimum version for 3 months.

Any update? Activation still fails with IPv6.

The problem right now is there are still some issues with systems that have bad IPv6 configurations. It can cause the activation to fail entirely rather than falling back to IPv4.

Well, in this case I would say, people need to fix their configuration as they will encounter other problems regardless. IPv6 exists over 20 years. Also, IPv6-only hosts already a thing, and they will fail entirely.

Is there any workaround ? I run an ipv6 only server and can't start anything..
